2009 Prada fashion art exhibition in Korea,for Prada,just earned a head-line. There wasn’t even one bank willing to help this company which owns the debt of 10 billion euros. In the mean time,there are whispers of Qatari royal family and Richemont Group will acquire Prada,this news could be on 2010 newspaper all the time but not proved yet.
Another said Prada has been always to find a expansion strategy like LVMH Group,that’s opening direct store,from now the situation to see,it’s a way to worth thinking about. But this way has some key point,that have to own a definite market. 2 months ago,Prada closed its only store in Dubai,the reason is the store just was a franchise,also Prada lose the chance to compete with LV or Gucci.
November last year,Prada opened a direct store in Istanbul,but this store isn’t eyes-catching,it’s located in Nisantasi,but most of luxury store are near the park of Istinye. In Middle European and East European,many franchises were terminated but haven’t created its own store immediately.
Maybe Prada team lacked the experience to run direct stores,but Prada,how do you compete with LV?

The CEO of Versace Gian Giacomo Ferraris expressed,his Restructuring plans got approval by Versace family,shareholders,banks and trade union.
Gian Giacomo Ferraris will introduce a new line of dress for women,this plan is going to bring sales over 8 million euros in the first season in 2010.
In October last year,Gian Giacomo Ferraris propound a scheme to help Versace make up the deficits and get surpluses.The scheme including fired 350 employees and closed U.S PR office and Burago accessory factory. In design,Gian Giacomo Ferraris and Versace discussed to introduced a second line brand,it will introduced in this Autumn,the price will lower than the first line products.
Gian Giacomo Ferraris said that Versace was in a business loss about 30 million euros in 2009.

From February 1 on, the price of classical Chanel style handbags will be raised from 50 to 100 dollars,the news if from the salesman of Soho exclusive store in New York.But other salesman who is from store of Madison street said,the classic Jumbo Caviar bags will from 2650 dollars raised to 2995 dollars. Maurizio Gucci was the third ambitious person of Gucci family,Maurizio lost his mother since his was a child,he was a good boy under the cares of his father. Her father Rodolfo and and uncle have strong hopes for him in family’s business.When Maurizio was 22 years old,he married with Patrizia.

Let’s glance back at the past,Guccio’s three son Aldo,Rodolfo and Vasco inherited his 1/3 property after he died,But Vasco hadn’t a kid,her wife sold their shares after Vasco died,then Aldo and Rodolfo had 50% share of Gucci company. Aldo gave 10% of his shares to his sons. Maurizio got 50% shares after Rodolfo died. Aldo trained Maurizio as Gucci’s successors,but another side,he started another company and diverted some good business to his company. Then a family war stared.
The course of war no need to said,and the result was Maurizio got all the shares of Gucci. But Maurizio failed at doing his business. In 1993,Maurizio sold his shares. Gucci family has no business with its brand after that time…..then,then……,Domenico De Sole was as Gucci’s president,Tom From saved Gucci,Gucci was listed,and LVMH wanted to buy Gucci,Tom From left Gucci….too much happened
But the saddest is,Patrizia hired someone to kill Maurizio,and she has been in prison.

The model Rasa Zukauskaite is from Lithuania,the photographer is Steven Meisel,Rasa Zukauskaite was a new in the beginning of this year,after being Prada’s model now is a super-new. Wish she will bring lucky for Prada,but from this posters to see,I more feel Rasa Zukauskaite is a fake people,looks cold and lacking vigor. But bags and shoes are nice.
